 Pest Control Checklist For New Homeowners

Buying a home is one of the most exciting purchases that you can make throughout your lifetime, but with it also comes lots of responsibilities. For new homeowners, it is critical to ensure that your home is protected against pests. Our Bug Guys put together a pest control checklist for all new homeowners: 

Yard Maintenance: 

• Cut down any excess tree branches around your home 
• Trim shrubbery 
• Don’t use mulch 
• Repair any holes in the yard 
• Mow the lawn frequently 
• Keep the yard clean 
• Remove firewood 
• Make sure there are no food sources 

Foundation Updates: 

• Seal all cracks in windows and doors
• Fix leaky pipes and faucets 
• Repair any cracks in your roof 
• Cover the chimney 

Keep Your Home Clean: 

• Keep all food sealed tightly 
• Wash countertops regularly 
• Seal your trash 
• Remove standing water
