1. Never leave open food in the pantry 
2. Always clean up messes right away 
3. Upgrade to airtight storage containers to store food
4. Take out the trash regularly 
5. Sweep the pantry floor often 
6. Put traps in the pantry
7. Spray the pantry with food-safe repellent 
8. Seal up any crevices or holes 
9. Add bay leaves to the pantry – insects hate the smell!
